Thomas Druve

I'm a Doctor of Medicine student at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. In 2025 I graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science with Distinction, the highest grade awarded, and commenced the Doctor of Medicine in 2026. I'm also a recipient of the Chancellor's Scholarship at Griffith. Before university, I completed the QCAA curriculum and graduated with a 99.85 ATAR, a QCAA Certificate of Academic Commendation, and the Buchanan Medal.

I know how Units 3 and 4 feel from the inside: the internal assessments stacking on top of each other, the external exams on the horizon, and the sense that everyone expects you to already know how to handle it. I sat those exams recently enough to remember them properly, and did well enough at them that people started asking me how.

Three years of privately tutoring more than 50 students across all six of my QCAA subjects (Specialist Maths, Maths Methods, Chemistry, Physics, English and Economics) taught me the honest answer. An hour a week of explanations, on its own, doesn't change much. What changes results is what happens around the hour: a system, applied consistently, by someone who pays attention. The plan, the practice, and an honest record of what is and isn't working.

So I built Eruvio, the platform my students use for their study plans, practice, mock exams and progress tracking, with a parent view of all of it. I spent 2025 building and testing it with my own students, against real weeks and real assessments, before bringing it to market. It keeps the attention going after the session ends.

Today the mentoring and the platform are one offer. I work weekly, one on one, with a small number of ambitious Year 11 and 12 students, many aiming at medicine as I was, and I keep my numbers deliberately small so every student gets the real thing rather than a timeslot in a crowded roster.
